Melissa Field
Co-Founder & Managing Member | Consultant | Trainer
Melissa Field is a clinical research and psychedelic-treatment operations professional with nearly two decades of experience helping organizations, investigators, and clinical teams develop and implement emerging healthcare programs. As Co-Founder and Managing Member of GuideSite Consulting, she brings expertise in clinical research operations, investigator-initiated trials, site development, training, and psychedelic treatment implementation.
Melissa has worked extensively with research sites entering clinical research for the first time, as well as established sites expanding into psychedelic research. Her experience spans MAPS Public Benefit Corporation (now Lykos Therapeutics), Cybin (now Helus Pharma), and other emerging healthcare initiatives, where she has helped translate complex research and operational requirements into practical systems, training, and processes.
Her expertise in psychedelic training is also reflected in her co-authorship of the peer-reviewed article “Psychedelic training program development: lessons from the evolution of the EMBARK program”, published in Frontiers in Psychology in 2025.
Melissa’s work is grounded in the belief that successful healthcare programs require both structure and humanity. Her experience extends from clinical research and program implementation to community engagement, including volunteer work supporting community relations.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Welfare at the University of Kansas — reflecting her continued interest in the human side of healthcare, particularly the ways that emerging models of care can be developed and implemented with greater thoughtfulness, compassion, and integrity.
