About GuideSite

GuideSite Consulting, LLC equips clinical trial sites with the knowledge and readiness needed to deliver psychedelic treatments consistently and in accordance with study protocols. We were founded to offer clinical trial sponsors, including Sponsor-Investigators, an independent and complementary site-training solution that strengthens study execution and supports the shared goal of bringing safe, effective psychedelic medicines to market.

Leadership

Melissa Field, MSW (cand.) Co-Founder and Managing Member

Melissa has worked in clinical research since 2007 in various roles of regulatory affairs, clinical operations, and clinical development. As Senior Manager of Clinical Process and Training at Cybin, and later as a consultant, she worked on EMBARK, the facilitator-training model used to prepare session monitors across Cybin's clinical program. She is a co-author of "Psychedelic training program development: lessons from the evolution of the EMBARK program" (Frontiers in Psychology, 2025) — a peer-reviewed account of how that curriculum was designed, revised, and taught. She founded GuideSite to bring the same discipline and ethics to sites running psychedelic protocols.

Douglas Finkelstein, MBA — Vice President of Operations

Doug leads GuideSite's operational layer: LMS administration, training records, site onboarding, and the coordination that keeps a multi-site training program running to schedule. He has spent the last six years building the operating systems behind programs where participant safety and record-keeping are the work. He founded and ran a 250-member psychedelic and consciousness community for three years with zero safety incidents, designing its onboarding, facilitator guidelines, and moderation standards. He has since run program operations for a wellness organization delivering 400+ sessions to 1,500+ participants, rebuilding intake as a cohort system to make delivery repeatable. Doug received his MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.

How we staff engagements

GuideSite staffs each engagement to the protocol. Trainers and consultants are selected per study from an experienced network of clinical and psychedelic research professionals, and contracted for the duration of the program. This is deliberate. Site training requirements differ by compound, protocol, and site profile, and a fixed roster tends to fit the vendor rather than the study.

How we work

Principal-led. Sponsors and sites work directly with the people who develop and deliver the training, not an account layer.

Protocol-first. Curricula are built to the study's protocol and applicable standards, not adapted from a generic course.

Documented. Training is assessed and recorded, with completion tracked per site and per role.
